Ice Rink/Snow Play Area Attendant - License to Chill Snow Island (PT)
SUMMARY: The ice rink attendant is responsible for cleaning, grooming and resurfacing the ice as well as cleaning up the vicinity of the ice rink. Daily tasks not only include resurfacing the ice, but sharpening, organizing, lacing and handing out the ice skates. This position requires heavy communication with the guests informing them about the park, its rules, and policies all while ensuring a safe and enjoyable time for Margaritaville guests. The snow play attendant must monitor guests entering the snow play area for wristbands, monitor safety and rule enforcement in the snow play area, and maintain the cleanliness of the snow play area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcoming guest
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Communicate in a friendly manner even when stressed
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Performing customer service
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Sharpening skates
- Maintaining the quality of skates
- Supervising the guest in the ice rink
- Operating the Zamboni Shoveling ice shavings
- Shoveling ice shavings
- Assist one or multiple guests at a time with any questions
- Other duties as assigned
- Assist one or multiple guests at a time with any questions
- Maintain trash
- Effective communication with coworkers and supervisors
- Enforce and knowing all policies
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory duties for this position. However, there is potential for growth.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic math.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 16 years of age
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence and complete reports detailing customer interactions. Ability to effectively present information and give directions with customers and employees.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in both written and verbal form. Ability to deal with problems involving many variables.

Admissions associates are frequently required to stand, walk, run, climb, balance, sit, talk, hear, and reach, handle, or feel. The associate is occasionally required to lift and or move 50 pounds or more. The associate will be required to hand skates to guests in a fast-paced environment as well as resurface the ice. This includes driving a Zamboni, watering, brushing and squeegeeing the ice.
