Technician - IT Department (Full Time)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Diagnose computer problems, monitor computer processing systems, install software and perform tests on computer equipment and programs.
  • Assist associates or guests on any I.T. related problems or questions.
  • Knowledge of computers and how they operate, which includes having a broad understanding of hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Able to teach/show users how to use programs and operate multiple computer systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service to associates and guests.
  • Perform any additional related tasks as required.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities but has the potential for growth.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Prior I.T. experience a plus
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, not easily distracted, and a commitment to safety
  • Requires a positive, friendly, and customer service driven attitude
  • Point of sale experience a plus
  • Available to work weekends and holidays

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Basic computer knowledge a plus

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence and complete reports detailing rescues and guest interactions. Ability to effectively present information and give directions to customers and employees.

 

REASONING ABILITY

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in both written and verbal form.  Ability to deal with problems involving many variables.
