Equipment Operator - Port of Indecision Marina (Part Time)

SUMMARY Handle the day-to-day operation of the dry storage at Port of Indecision Marina.

Responsible for offloading/onloading boats into or out of the water. Operating equipment such as boats, tractors to move to and from dock slips. Assist in the general maintenance and upkeep of the dry storage facility. be knowledgeable to promote the recreational activities of Margaritaville at Lanier Islands.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Oversee the efficient running of the POI Dry Storage facility on a daily basis
  • Assist Guests with any questions/needs they may have.
  • Maintain high safety standards daily
  • Promote the recreational activities of Margaritaville at Lake Lanier Islands

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This position has no supervisor responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Prior customer service experience preferred.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

 

 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
